Welcome back to Funky Kids!
The school would like to welcome back Denis and Olivia and the Funky Kids Programme. Over 10 weeks all children will participate in music, art, drama and games. At the end of the programme the children will deliver a super show for all to attend. Costumes and sets will also be put together by the children. 'Bring it ON!'
Fire Safety Visit
Thank you kindly to Leo and Chris of the Graignamanagh Fire Service for their visit to 3rd and 4th class. The officers gave a great lesson to all on fire safety awareness and all present learned many tips to keep ourselves safe in the future. All the children took on the challenge of learning their Eircodes after the talk.

Word Down Syndrome Day 2023
On March 21st the school got into the spirit to celebrate World Book Day. The students made a great effort to mark 'Odd Sock Day'. Some of the combinations were very interesting!

Christmas Cheer in Glenmore N.S.
Here is a sample of some of our festive activities and art.
Thanks to the Students Council who organised the Christmas Disco for the junior and senior classes in the school.
The Christmas performance was enjoyed by all. A big thank you to Miss Ryan and Miss Keane's classes for their nativity performance 'Whoops A Daisy Angel'.
Mr. Grant's and Miss Kelly's classes then treated everyone to a selection of Christmas songs, directed by Miss Cooke.
Thank you also to the Parents Association for the fantastic prizes in the Christmas Raffle.

Ice Skating At Winterval
Students from 3rd to 6th Class enjoyed a excellent morning of Ice Skating at the Waterford Winterval Ice Rink. The cold conditions did not chill the Christmas Spirit and fun. The morning was rounded off by some hot chocolate in Carter's.
Everyone had a super time. Thank you kindly to Parent's Association for financial support for the trip and transport costs.
Football Fever
Well done to 5th and 6th class girls who recently reached the semi-finals of the Cummann na mBunscoil Girls 7's. The girls showed great team spirit and heart. Although beaten by Gowran and Clogh/Mooneenrue the girls had a great victory over Mullinavat. Thank you to the parents for all the help on both days.
Hallowe'en Fun!

Computer Classes Return!
Computer Classes for 1st to 6th classes began in September for 12 weeks. All students will have an opportunity to develop their skills in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Welcome back to Kate Ryan of RÃomhaire Tech who is making the learning so enjoyable for all students.
September Assembly
We held our first assembly of the year. All classes shared their learning experiences with the other groups over the month of September. Students winners of the 'Student of the Month' were awared their certificates. 'Maith sibh' to all involved.
School Hurling Mini-League Summer 2022
​Well done to all participants in the Hurling League in Glenmore N.S. 42 girls and boys from 3rd to 6th took part and all really enjoyed themselves and improved their skills. ​
We had a lovely sunny day from our Junior School Tour to Wells House and Gardens in Gorey, on Friday 17th June 2022. Each of our three groups got a taste of life in Wells House in the 1800's, a chance see and pet the animals and a walk around the Gruffalo and Fairy Trail. There was also lots of fun in the playground afterwards. A great day was had by all our boys and girls in Junior Infants to Second class.

We will close for our Easter Holidays on Friday 8th April at 12 noon. Glenmore N.S. will re-open on Monday 25th April 2022 at 9am. Be sure to watch out for some EGGCITING activities around the school on Friday 8th, with our Easter Egg hunt and Easter Raffle!

The boys and girls in Junior and Senior Infants are a very thoughtful group! They were very busy this week, making sure that the Easter Bunny had a lovely house to live in. I am sure the Easter Bunny will be very happy with them all!

On Friday 1st April, the Little Red Kettle returned to Glenmore after an absence of 2 years, with their production of 'Funky Fandango!'. The pupils of Glenmore N.S. became the stars of the show and it was a huge success, with great fun had by all. Well done everyone!

Well done to all the students of Junior and Senior Infants, First and Second Class for their wonderful production of ' A Sleepy Shepherd'. The show was great success and the footage was sent to all parents. A word of thanks to Ms.Keane, Mr. Moore and Mr. Power for the many hours of practice.
Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes rounded off the performance with some lively Christmas songs and traditional carols. Maith Sibh Go Léir!
